Moral Outrage from Australia’s key decision makers on refugee policy

Malcolm Turnbull and Peter Dutton are  DISGUSTED by:

  1. Cricket players cheating to gain advantage in a sporting activity

  2. News reports that make no accusations whatsoever about whether or not the Dutton family has employed an au pair

Quite a few Australians get a lot of enjoyment and pride from the matches played by their national cricket team. So it has been disappointing for those people to hear senior players admitting to colluding in an attempt to gain an advantage in a game by blatantly breaking the rules.

THE AUSTRALIAN PRIME MINISTER WAS OUTRAGED.

Yesterday the Australian Associated Press (AAP) reported that when a young woman had her eVisitor visa cancelled at the Brisbane airport in 2015, the Minister in charge of Immigration, Peter Dutton, had used his discretionary powers to grant her a new visa allowing the foreign au pair immediate lawful access to enter Australia to meet her “ongoing needs” citing that it was “in the public interest”. All reports stated clearly that Mr Dutton had denied that he personally knew the au pair and that she worked for him or his family.
