BREAKING NEWS: Dutton back to Home Affairs

The new PM, Scott Morrison – proud author of ‘Operation Sovereign Borders’ during his time as Immigration Minister – has reappointed Peter Dutton as Minister of Home Affairs.

Although this is a partnership that will require extra effort from those who are opposed to the current policies, it is slightly diluted by the fact that Prime Minister Morrison has made the Home Affairs portfolio less of a super-ministry with David Coleman as Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs.

Posts with contact details for the relevant Ministers/Prime Minister will be forthcoming in the days ahead.

We may just have to remind Scott Morrison that his own words should apply to people seeking asylum as well as whoever was on his mind when he said the following:
