Save Medevac!

The Morrison government is about to introduce a bill to repeal the law that ensures the proper healthcare for dangerously ill people in indefinite offshore detention.

The Migration Amendment (Repairing Medical Transfers) Bill 2019 could be introduced to the lower house of Parliament as early as this Thursday.

Medevac allows innocent people their basic right to healthcare, many of whom are suffering BECAUSE of the policy that leaves them in limbo on Manus Island or Nauru in challenging circumstances. To terminate this process will undoubtedly lead to more futile loss of life. And the lives will be those people who simply sought to exist somewhere without fear of persecution.

The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is encouraging all those who support Medevac to join their campaign to prevent this inhumane political move by the Australian government.

There’s still time to do something.
And something is always than nothing when  lives are at stake.
